Dr. Margaret Byrne Swain
Program Coordinator 1994 – 1999; Director, 1999 – present
An anthropologist with the Women and Gender Studies program, Dr. Swain has been with GGI almost since the beginning.  With strong vision, she is leading GGI to forge partnerships within campus, the local community and internationally so that a vibrant community may flourish in each of our program areas. She is also co-director of the Women’s Resource and Research Center at UC Davis and is a pioneer in studies of gender and tourism.  She has done research in Panama, Mexico and China. 

Sarah Rebolloso McCullough
Coordinator, 2009-present
As a graduate student in the Cultural Studies graduate group pursuing her Ph.D., Ms. McCullough helps to keep the GGI program running smoothly and assists students in creating a program of study matching their interests and experience. Her research explores the relationships between gender, technology, nature, culture, and bodies.

Margareta Lelea
Coordinator, 2002 -3/ 2005 - 2009
A feminist geographer in the Ph.D. program of the Geography Graduate Group, Ms. Lelea has grown with GGI helping program areas move from an idea to a running program and all of the details in between.  She continued to collaborate with GGI while a Fulbright Junior Scholar to Romania, 2003 – 5 and started the internship programs in Timisoara and Bucharest.  Her research is on gender and development in Romania’s western borderlands. 

Jaleen Francois
2006 - 2008
A graphic designer with an MS from the Community Development Graduate Group, Ms. Francois worked to communicate GGI goals visually and helped run various programs. Specifically, Jaleen was an integral part of making the Davis Feminist Film Festival happen in 2007 and 2008.

Danielle Fodor
2004 – 2005
A community activist who has completed an MS in Community Development, Ms. Fodor helped develop GGI programs and co-founded the Davis Feminist Film Festival in 2005.  She has done an oral history of the Baggins End Community and is co-founder of the Sparkplug radio show which looks at social justice issues in the local area.
